Exploring the Athenaeum

Welcome, Honoured Scholar.

Your journey across time and space to reach us at the galactic core has undoubtedly been arduous. We hope your sojourn at the Multiversal Athenaeum will be worth your great effort.

You may call me Eratosthenes—my real name is unpronounceable by your species, so for you and your fellow humans I have adopted the name of one of your ancient scholars. Alternatively, you may simply call me the Archivist. I will be your guide in your exploration of this place and assist you in your studies of human history across the galaxy over the past one-hundred thousand of your Terran years.

In your original communication with us, you expressed an interest in the colonial expansion from your ancient home, Terra. You are undoubtedly aware of the significant influence of humans on intergalactic history, and the dominance of your species over much of the past ten millennia. You are to be commended for your interest in this formative period of galactic history.
